Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit base91.in — what we collect, why, who else can see it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Base91 website at base91.in and nothing else. Base91 is a small-business digital transformation partner; you can reach us at info@base91.in.
BusinessDesk (businessdesk.base91.in) is a separate product on a separate subdomain, with its own accounts and its own data handling. This policy does not describe what happens there. Please refer to the privacy terms published within that product.
This website has no user accounts, no login, and takes no payments.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you choose to give us
The only way to send us information directly through this site is to email us. If you write to info@base91.in, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. We keep that correspondence so we can reply and maintain a record of the conversation.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Analytics only run if you agree to them. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you press Accept, neither Google Analytics nor Microsoft Clarity is loaded at all — no cookie is set, no session is recorded, and your browser makes no request to Google or Microsoft. If you Decline, they are never loaded, and we also delete any analytics cookies left from a previous visit. You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
Server logging is the only collection that happens regardless of your choice:
- Server logs. Our web server records your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. This is standard web-server logging, necessary to serve and secure the site, and it happens before any consent choice can be made.
Only if you accept, the following is also collected:
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (measurement IDG-FWEVCXV32T): pages viewed, how long you stayed, how you arrived, approximate location derived from your IP address, and details about your device, browser and screen.
- Session behaviour via Microsoft Clarity (project IDxzstai46n1). Clarity records how you interact with pages — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and rage/dead clicks — and can replay that interaction as an anonymised session recording. It also builds aggregate heatmaps. Clarity applies Microsoft's default masking to form fields; we have not turned that masking off.
We do not collect your name, phone number, postal address, payment details or government identifiers through this website, because there is nowhere on it to enter them.
2.3 Fonts are served by us, not by Google
The typefaces on this site are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore does not contact Google's font servers when you visit, and your IP address is not disclosed to them for that purpose.
5. Why we use this information
- To keep the site available, fast and secure, and to investigate faults or abuse.
- To understand which sections people actually read, so we can improve them.
- To see where visitors come from, so we know which efforts are worth repeating.
- To reply to you if you have written to us.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not run advertising on this site.
7. Where your data is processed
Google and Microsoft are global companies and process analytics data on infrastructure that may sit outside India, including in the United States. Where such transfers involve personal data from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, those providers rely on their own published transfer mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for security and troubleshooting, then rotated and deleted.
- Analytics and session data are retained according to the settings in the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity consoles, subject to the maximum retention each platform allows. Both platforms delete data automatically once that period elapses.
- Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a reasonable business record.
9. Your rights and choices
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what personal data of yours we process, to correct or complete anything inaccurate, to erase data we no longer need, and to have a grievance addressed. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR additionally gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email info@base91.in. Because this site collects no name or account, we may need extra detail from you — such as an approximate visit time and device — before we can locate anything relating to you, and in some cases we may be unable to identify your data at all.
10. How to opt out of analytics
- On this site: open Cookie settings in the footer of any page and choose Decline. This stops the analytics tools loading and clears the analytics cookies already stored on your device. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting was, and costs you nothing — the site behaves identically either way.
- Google Analytics: install Google's official browser opt-out add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Microsoft Clarity: Microsoft documents its privacy choices at privacy.microsoft.com.
- Any browser: block or clear cookies for this site, or use a private window or a tracker-blocking extension. Nothing on this site depends on cookies.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. Access to the server is restricted to authorised administrators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
This site is intended for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child's data has reached us, write to info@base91.in and we will delete it.
13. Links to other services
This site links to BusinessDesk and may link to other external services. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's site, governed by their privacy terms, and this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for their practices.
14. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes — for example, if the subscribe form starts collecting addresses, or if we add or remove an analytics tool. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
15. Contact and grievances
For any question about this policy, any request about your data, or any complaint about how we have handled it, contact us at info@base91.in. We aim to respond to every request within the timelines set by applicable law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
